The State Bank of India (SBI), Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, Corporate Centre, Mumbai, has released the notification for SBI Junior Associate Recruitment 2026, inviting applications from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre. Online registration of application and payment of fees runs from 11.08.2026 to 31.08.2026. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State/UT only and must be proficient in the specified local language of that State/UT. The Preliminary Examination is tentatively scheduled for September 2026, and the Main Examination for November 2026.

A total of 7,680 regular vacancies and 1,444 backlog vacancies are notified across 24 Circles/States/UTs. Candidates can apply for only one State/UT and must be proficient in that State/UT’s specified local language. The Bank has clarified that these vacancies are provisional and may vary depending on actual requirement.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification (As on 31.12.2026)
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University, or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Candidates with an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate must ensure the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2026. Candidates in their final year/semester of graduation may also apply provisionally, subject to producing proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2026.Recruitment & Staffing.
Matriculate Ex-servicemen who have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education, or the corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force, after completing not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union, are also eligible. Such certificates should be dated on or before 31.12.2026.

Not below 20 years and not above 28 years – i.e., candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1998 and not later than 01.04.2006 (both days inclusive).

Salary:
The pay scale for Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) is Rs. 24,050-1340/3-28,070-1650/3-33,020-2000/4-41,020-2340/7-57,400-4400/1-61,800-2680/1-64,480. The starting Basic Pay is Rs. 26,730 (Rs. 24,050 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates).
